Intro To Plant ID

New to the Santa Barbara Area? Want to learn the plants that you hike by every day? 

​

Join local herbalist & nutritionist Emily Sanders and learn the basics of leaf, flower, and tree identification, as well as the 10 most common edible and poisonous plant families in the area. 

​

In this outdoor class we will discover over 60 common local plants, how to detect what general plant ecosystem you are in, and what medicinal herbs grow in each one of them.  Learn the basics of growing & harvesting herbs, so you can start your own herbal garden.

Herbs For Body

Have you ever wanted to learn how to heal your own body with herbal medicine?

​

Join local herbalist & health educator Emily Sanders for an 11 week ONLINE course on Herbs for the Body. We will study more than 60 herbs and learn natural approaches for many common ailments.​

​

In this live ONLINE class we will study how herbs can help with sleep, anxiety, blood pressure, coughs, congestion, muscle tension, joint pain, bloating, acid reflux, constipation, diarrhea, chronic inflammation, skin health, digestive health. and preventing kidney stones.

Medicine Making For Beginners

Have you ever wanted to learn how to heal your own body with herbal medicine?

Join local herbalist & medicine maker Jaimee Simundson to make herbal teas, oils, salves, balms, tinctures, vinegars, syrups, and more.

 

In this live ONLINE class we will learn where to purchase herbs & supplies, as well as basic harvesting, drying and storage of herbs, and walk away with an arsenal of herbal remedies to start up your own home apothecary.

Would you like to learn how your body uses food for fuel, and how to heal and nourish your body using natural food therapies?

 

Join local herbalist & nutritionist Emily Sanders in this ONLINE Holistic Nutrition course and learn how our diets can affect moods & sleep, energy & fatigue, mental health, inflammation, allergies, autoimmune diseases, & chronic colds.

 

Learn about macronutrients, nutrient deficiencies, food sensitivities, reading labels for healthy ingredients, anti-inflammatory diets, blood sugar regulation, and meal planning for your diet and lifestyle

Intro To Case Studies

Do you have basic experience of using herbal medicine, but want to dive deeper?

 

Join licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac), herbalist, and yoga instructor Jiling Lin for this ONLINE class on the Introduction Case Studies & Formulation.

 

We will learn herbal intake skills & basic clinical research, as well as formulating for specific body types and conditions.
